January Recap

So January has come and gone, how the hell did that happen?
I used to recap my weeks on this blog last year, and I thought I would continue to do posts along the lines with a monthly recap. I think it'll be a nice thing for myself, almost therapeutic? to look back on the month and see what I've been up to, and how I was feeling. So here is January!

What happened:

January started off with lazy days off work with Dayle and a visit to the Harry Potter Studio Tour. I loved it, wandering around all the nostalgic and magical props, studios and just seeing how it was made was amazing. I look back on this little brief relaxing time at the beginning of the month so fondly. Even though we see each other pretty much every day it's only for a few hours and it always seen too short, so having ten days off just me and Dayle was lovely.

Me and Dayle decided to start watching How I Met Your Mother from the beginning  and watch them all in order, and we are addicted. I'm pretty sure we started the first week of January, and we have already nearly finished series four.... oops haha.

I've been listening to a lot of my old CD's lately, as when my trusty old Corsa broke in December *cries* I have been driving my mums car and it made me look through my my bunch of CD's again. This includes old One Direction albums, Newton Faulker and Nina Nesbitt, who have all been keeping me company on my journeys!

January is my lazy month, which means ALL OF THE JUMPERS. I've basically raided my wardrobe for all the big and warmest jumpers that I own and worn them over ripped jeans and patterned trousers. Nothing too exciting, but warm and comfy!

I guess a lot of January has been spent thinking about planning about moving out, like it has been for about a year now haha. It's just such a big thing, and it is so hard to decide what to do. We are constantly tied between wanting a nice cosy flat, but also wanting a house, and it's financially stupid and kind of impossible to do both. Especially if we want to stay close to home. It's kind of stressful, but hopefully it will all work out in the end.
I've also been thinking a lot about starting up my own illustration business and re-opening my pillow shop on Ebay, and get the whole creative thing going on again. I really want to work from home, even if it's only part time, and I feel like now is the time. I also feel like now is the time I should be working as much as I can and saving money to move out, or go travelling.... oh the dilemmas!

So that's been January, how was yours?
